About Company

A local company with a global ambition, Paul Bros was established in 1978 and is the Norths steel specialty company. We were the second business by the Paul family with the first one being Back Bay Welding in the early 1970’s. Welding is in our roots and carried forward in the Paul family name.

ABOUT US

All our directors are Aboriginal and were born and raised in the Northwest Territories from all three recognized aboriginal groups: Dené, Métis, and Inuvialuit. We are CWB and COR certified. With our diverse team of welders, ironworkers, millwrights, pipefitters, machinists, mechanics, carpenters, industrial painters, plumbers, welding inspectors, and engineers; we are a regional leader and deliver unrivaled quality and optimum value.

WE CARE

We hold all the qualified certifications and stand by our products. We are Certifed to the National COR Certifcation, CWB Certified and we keep current with the Worker’s Safety Compensation Commission and NWT insurance.

OUR PROUD MOMENTS

  • Chosen as the recipient of the top 20 under-40 Award Canada Wide from the Canadian Welding Association in October 2015
  • Received the Aboriginal Business of the Year Award from the NWT Chamber of Commerce in October 2015
  • Highlighted on the Cover of the NWT Construction Magazine (and profiled within) in June 2014
  • Received the Advanced in Technology Award in October 2014
  • Received the Top in Technology Award in October 2011

We distribute welding supplies, welding & mining equipment, painting/coating supplies, steel supplies, bucket supplies, and PPE in the entire NWT. All these products are used and proven in our own manufacturing facility before being delivered to you. And since we manufacture them ourselves, our cost savings are passed to you.

We have a 12000sq. feet shop space with vacant properties, heavy equipment, and mobile operations. So we can easily transport the goods to your site via the Winter Road if required. We also have our own dedicated machine shop with Computerized (CNC) lathes, mills, plasma cutters, roller, brake, and saw. This enables us to complete work much faster than the other providers. There are some jobs that would take a person about 8 hours, but we can deliver it in just 1 hour.

Our team receives regular training to make sure they stay updated with the latest equipment and standards.
